Blending moments of utter tranquility with unforgiving emotional heights, Big Fish & Begonia had me floored in its opening act and kept me hooked until the very end. Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse is one of my favourite animated films of the last decade and I’m only 20 years old. That’s like half of my life and I’ve seen a lot of animated movies. From its hard hitting narrative, dark undertones and incredibly inventive soundtrack, the strength of each element really come together to build a genuinely impressive story. That being said, this series isn’t without its flaws and my ignorance definitely affected my views on the show at the time. Continue reading “My Anime Journey #2: Angel Beats!”
