This will mark my third article on this site that mentions Teekyu but I don’t care. Its 100th episode aired this week and I’m seizing the opportunity to talk about one of my favourite mindless comedy shows. Don’t misunderstand though, mindless is a positive compliment here; this show functions as the perfect palette cleanser and continues to be one of my favourite shows. Although you’ll need the ability to read subtitles at rapid speed and be prepared to marathon a whole lot of episodes, Teekyu is one of those shows that I always recommend to everyone.
Although I’m still catching up on the season just gone, I’ve been doing my best to keep up with this new season of anime. In these weekly roundups, I’ll be going through each show I’m watching and talk about the episode that aired this week. Opening week is always the most important, creating a lasting impression is key to sustaining a hefty audience. Let’s see how this season has fared so far.
If you’re anybody who is anybody within the anime community, you will have undoubtedly seen this handsome pair somewhere along the line. In all my years within this online community, never have I observed a single show completely sweep fans off their feet within one single season. With every season of feature length anime, some studios decide that their concepts would be better executed within a shorter time frame. Well it’s either that or they couldn’t get the air time. In any case, Spring 2016 brought a few good time wasters to add to the list which for me worked out great because I had exams and didn’t have time to watch a lot of feature length shows.
